Netflix announced their fourth quarter results, disclosing a 36% increase in profits, and a 31% increase in subscriber base (now over 12 Million) and saw a positive market response of a 13.24% increase in their stock price.
With such impressive results, it seems to me that they are showing they have not only a loyal customer base, but also an incredible name brand.
How does one argue that they do not have customer loyalty and competitive advantage?
I think that a huge part of customer loyalty is the thought in consumers minds that they have always used name brand x (in this case Netflix) and will continue to do so) partially because the name is so popular and widely known.
